The Deparment of Optoelectronics conducts fundamental and applied research in the fields of semiconductor materials technology, optoelectronic devices and quantum technologies. Modern epitaxy equipment allows the growth of new materials, such as bismides, A3B5 compounds, and the development of devices in the infrared and terahertz range. The department applies advanced spectroscopy, terahertz imaging and ellipsometry techniques to study the properties of materials and characterize optical components.
Researchers develop structured THz radiation, photonic and metamaterial structures, single photon sources and quantum sensors. In addition, the department performs comprehensive evaluation of infrared cameras and imaging systems. Combining materials synthesis, device fabrication and systematic testing, the department ensures a complete chain of optoelectronic technology development for scientific and industrial needs.
