Applications for the “Open Readings Research Excellence Award” Are Open!

The upcoming “Open Readings 2026” conference for students and young researchers presents a prestigious award which celebrates the outstanding achievements of students in physics and natural sciences – the “Open Readings Research Excellence Award”, established by the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC).

The award is presented in two categories: Bachelor‘s/Master‘s and PhD students.

The winner of each category receives a prize totaling €3,000.

• €500 as a monetary award.
• €2,500 worth of access to FTMC services

Applications must be submitted by February 9th, 2026. The winners will be announced on the last day of the conference during the closing ceremony.
