Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC) is looking for a group leader in the Dept. of Chemical Engineering and Technologies.
Suitable research experience might encompass but is not limited to tribology, lubrication, wear, friction, interactions between moving surfaces, their degradation and modification by physical, chemical, electrochemical means, bio-based oils, rubber and (de)vulcanization processing etc.
The position offers full research independence and fast-track process to permanent employment, subject to an external review. The position comes with a fully equipped lab (chemistry labs, tribology labs, surface analytics etc.), several experienced staff members, access to service facilities, funds for PhD student employment, and a potential to rapidly join several EU funding schemes (e.g. HE-ERA-Chairs) and consortia.
Other requirements for potential candidates include a PhD degree in a relevant field (Chemical/Materials/Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics etc.) from an internationally recognized institution, good command of English language, and preferably some postdoctoral experience. Successful candidates will be offered a competitive salary depending on previous credentials and experience, further upgrades are also possible depending on performance.
