FTMC doctoral studies are intended for curious and ambitious researchers who want to create cutting-edge science and contribute to real innovations. Doctoral studies are based on independent research carried out in collaboration with a scientific supervisor. During their studies, candidates conduct research, prepare publications, write a dissertation, and participate in conferences and international placements. State-funded positions include a stipend that increases over the course of the programme, allowing doctoral candidates to fully focus on research and professional development.

Admission to doctoral studies is organised in cooperation with Vilnius University, and applicants choose a specific research topic from a published list.
