Internships at FTMC can be of several types:
- Mandatory student internship – an internship required as part of the curriculum, for which the student earns credits. A tripartite agreement is signed. Information about the agreement can be obtained from your faculty’s study office, and possible internship topics will be similar to final thesis topics. These are listed slightly below.
- Voluntary internship – an unpaid internship carried out on the student’s initiative. A voluntary work agreement is signed before starting. For signing the agreement, contact ieva.stirke@ftmc.lt.
- LMT-funded internship – the Research Council of Lithuania provides opportunities for students to undertake internships: Summer internship – a two-month (July–August) scientific (or artistic) research project according to an individual program. Student research during semesters – research projects carried out by students during the autumn and spring semesters, in free time from classes, under the supervision of a research advisor. For more information, see here.
To apply in advance, students should contact FTMC scientists. Topics can be chosen based on final thesis topics listed slightly below, which will be adapted for internship projects.
Final Theses
We invite students to complete their final theses at FTMC. We conduct research in natural and technological sciences, in the fields of physics, chemistry, and materials engineering. Final thesis topics can be found here:
All students who choose an FTMC researcher as their thesis supervisor and are active young scientists—participating in conferences or preparing scientific articles—are offered employment as an FTMC engineer or technician during the preparation of their thesis. Become part of our scientific team!
