FTMC Invites Applications for 2026 Doctoral Studies

Are you considering doctoral studies in the fields of physical sciences and technology? The Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC) invites prospective doctoral candidates to explore available research topics and begin preparing for doctoral studies starting in 2026.

Prospective candidates can already contact the supervisors of the proposed doctoral research topics to request recommendations and begin completing the candidate questionnaires indicated with each topic. Reaching out to potential supervisors in advance provides an opportunity to discuss research ideas, explore possible collaborations, and better prepare for the admission process.

Admission Timeline for FTMC Doctoral Studies

• Submission of applications and required documents: March 16 – June 18, 2026
• For applicants with a degree obtained abroad (without prior diploma recognition in Lithuania): March 16 – June 10, 2026
• Motivation interview with the FTMC Doctoral Committee: June 22, 2026
• Preliminary admission results: June 30, 2026
• Submission of appeals: until July 1, 2026, 16:00
• Final admission results: July 3, 2026
• Signing of study agreements with admitted doctoral candidates: July 7–15, 2026
