The Lithuanian Science Council (LSC), in accordance with the Government of the Republic of Lithuania's decree, annually grants doctoral students financial support for the results of their studies.

The aim of this idea is to support doctoral students who are productive in their studies, who publish scientific articles, participate in conferences and otherwise actively contribute to Lithuanian science.

We are delighted that five FTMC PhD students will be granted in 2025. The following colleagues have been recognised:

Agnė Minderytė (Department of Environmental Research. Theme: Assesment of personal exposure to black carbon and ultrafine particle levels in urban environment;)

Sukomol Barua (Department of Catalysis. Theme: Development of anode/cathode materials and application for fuel cells);

Yaraslau Padrez (Molecular Derivatives Physics Unit. PhD thesis: Theme: Novel upconverting 2D material-based quantum dots for super-resolution optical bio-imaging);

Kernius Vilkevičius (Department of Laser Technologies. Theme: Formation of plasmonic metal structures using laser technologies);

Miglė Mackevičiūtė (Department of Laser Technologies. Theme: Laser-based rear-side milling of transparent materials by ultrashort pulses).

Congratulations to our colleagues, best success in your scientific path!
