We kindly invite you to a lecture by Dr. D. Rytz (BREVALOR Sárl, Switzerland) on the topic "Peculiarities of single crystal growth for photonics applications".
Time: 14th November 2024, 9:30
Location: FTMC (Saulėtekio al. 3), D401.
Daniel Rytz has completed his PhD in physics at IBM Research Laboratory in Rüschlikon and at EPF Lausanne in 1983. During the last 34 years he worked as crystal growth scientist at Sandoz (now Novartis / Clariant) and FEE-EOT-Coherent.
This comprehensive lecture will cover a wide range of topics, including flux-grown crystals, top-seeded solution growth, KTN crystals, defects and striations, phosphorescent materials, and Yb:CALGO lasers. Gain valuable insights into the techniques used to grow high-quality crystals and understand the critical role they play in various scientific and technological applications.
