On 18 April, John Kitchingman, Senior Vice President for Global Customer Engagement at Dassault Systèmes, a French company, visited FTMC . He came to Lithuania to give a presentation at the "Economic Forum of the Year '24" event organised by the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists.
On this occasion, he was also meeting with leaders in the natural sciences, technology and industry to learn about the activities and achievements of this sector in Lithuania. During Mr. Kitchingman's visit to the FTMC, both sides presented their ongoing work and major plans and expressed their willingness to explore opportunities for cooperation.
Dassault Systèmes (or 3DS) is a multinational corporation, which develops software for 3D product design, simulation, manufacturing and other 3D related products. The company is active in the following areas: manufacturing, life sciences and healthcare, infrastructure and cities.

Recently, 3DS has been rapidly developing its Virtual Twin technology and services: before companies can create a product or start a process, it can be created in virtual space: for example, a robot can be 'built' virtually, its entire environment simulated, its actions modelled, and how it will 'behave' when it is manufactured, used or exposed to various disturbances.
This is a promising technology, and 3DS aims to integrate it into the medical field by preventing or better predicting how to treat various diseases.
