Research Interests

  • Inorganic and coordination chemistry – heavy metal ions complex formation equilibria in aqueous solutions
  • Physical chemistry – kinetics of heterogeneous autocatalytical processes, electroless metal deposition
  • Electrochemistry – anodic oxidation of reducing agents, electrocatalysis, underpotential deposition of metals 
  • Analytical chemistry – electroanalytical chemistry

Publications

Author and co-author around 200 scientific publications. More than 1400 citations in ISI database, H-index 21, 40 papers are cited 10 and more times.
He has over 150 peer-reviewed publications, several patents, edited a special issue of the “Journal of Solid State Electrochemistry” and co-authored over 100 International Conference contributions. 

Research & Development Activities

Negotiator, participant and project leader in joint R&D projects with Toyota Motors Corporation (Japan), Ebara-Udylite (Japan), LAM Research Corporation (USA); total money amount of the projects ca. 1.5 million USD. Owner of 10 USA, 5 Japan and 1 European patents. 

Teaching Experience

Scientific supervisor of eight former Ph. D. students (now of one), part-time teaching of undergraduate students at Vilnius University (1992-2000), Visiting Professor at Helsinki University of Technology (2002-2003).
